2024 Kingwood Summer Camp Details
"We are back with MORE Camps this Year!"
What Does Camp Look Like?
Dear Chess Friends,
Summer is right around the corner and I'm so excited to tell you that our Camps NEVER EVER look the same. I have been doing camps now for 15 Years and I love building QUALITY Chess Camps!
First, I need to brag that I've teamed up with some of the BEST Coaches in the Houston-Area to help me run an exciting week of Chess. We love creating a "Learner Centered" Environment; which means our focus is on your child's specific learning needs. So we love teaching in different styles and using different material, having small classroom groups, giving lots of feedback and recommendations. We believe a strong student/coach relationship is very important to Rapid Improvement.
Our Chess Camps are designed for students of all Grade & Skill Levels (Beginner to Advanced). On the first day the coaches begin to evaluate a player's skill level to put them on the right track. These amazing Coaches are seriously excited to get your student to the next Chess level!
Our main goal for the week is to help students prepare for a USCF Rated Tournament (on that Friday). Each day we work on opening principles, tricky tactics, middlegame strategies, powerful pawn structures, essential endgames, avoiding blunders, handling the chess clock, concentration exercises, new thinking techniques and so much more!
Please take a look at our weekly schedule below to see what a typical camp look like -
We hope you will join us this year for an amazing experience!
Siblings discounts are available - Please contact Coach Santos for more info.
